At 18 years old, I started my guitar making with a complete facination and addiction to Flamenco. I wanted to build myself a good guitar to play so I could travel to Spain and learn. Having completed a flamenco course with Paco Peña and Juan Serrano, in Cordoba, Spain, and spending time in the workshop of the legend Manuel Reyes, I travelled through Andalucia for many months with my first flamenco as my companion, ending up finally in Granada, one of the great meccas of the traditional guitar making world..

Traditionally it has seemed that only the spaniards make true authentic flamencos, the making of which demands much more than just craftsmanship. A great flamenco guitar has, at its heart, a soul strongly shaped by the elements from its native land of Spain: earth, air fire and water.  It must be capable of great finesse and sensitivity, coupled with driving force and brittle attack, and be able to evoke the ancient roots of flamenco in both the cante and baile, as well as solo.

I feel a deep connection and understanding with flamenco,  and this I know gives my flamencos true authenticity. My flamencos have power and attack but are also known to have finesse and lyrical qualities.
